The Last Wave Of The Wave.

The closing of The Wave has come. The title wave has to end, as lots of people say!

Laurie and all of the non Wave members were all celebrating about there news paper. It was completely sold out, there wasn’t a single paper that was not sold. After the party ended everyone left except Laurie because she had to clean up.When she left she had to walk down the Erie hallway without anyone when she finally got to her locker there were the words painted in red “enemy”. she slowly walked back from her locker, and she started to hear foot steps. Laurie was deeply frightened, she started to walk to the doors at the other end of the hallway. The foot steps grew louder, terrified Laurie started to walk faster. The foot steps were getting very loud now, and Laurie was now running. When she finally reached the end of the hallway it seemed to take forever, she banged her hips against the door to open it, but it was locked! Laurie got though the next set of door with little hope. she ran out of the school as fast as she could.
David and Brian sat in Brian’s van and wait for Laurie to come by. The other Wave members said, David was the only one who can stop Laurie from writing things about The Wave (because Laurie was his girlfriend). When Laurie finally came by it had almost been a whole hour. David caught up to Laurie but Laurie kept on going. Finally Laurie stopped when David garbed her arm and started yelling at her. she squirmed to get out of his hand. then he grabbed her with his other hand and pushed her down. Then he realized what he had done and he went down and apologized to Laurie. He said it felt like he woke up from a trance. the same trance all the other Wave members are in!

Mrs.Ross was Very worried  about Mr.Ross, she was worried because he might loose his job if he dosen’t end The Wave. He also needed to talk to Owens about how he is going to stop The Wave. He needed to figure out a plan to end the wave. he had finally made up a plan, and he went through the plan in his head over and over again.
When Mr.Ross was just about to go to bed, David and Laurie came up to Mr.Ross’s house and rang the door bell. Mr.Ross opened the door and said to Laurie and David “it is late shouldn’t you guy’s be at home?”
David told Mr.Ross all that Happened that night. He said he had almost hurt Laurie to save The Wave. He said that it was like he was in a trance that was hard to get out of. Then David told Mr.Ross that The Wave needed to be stopped and Mr.Ross agreed. The next day they stop The Wave, and every thing was better.

When Laurie and David were fighting I thought that David was going to start beating up Laurie! But I was deeply surprised that David did not beat up Laurie. They were getting so mad at each other that Laurie was going to get home with a black eye. When David pushed Laurie down I thought I knew that Laurie was going to be beat down. But when he bent down to say sorry I thought what this couldn’t be write did I skip a page? Then I read it over again and it was written right there in the novel that I was reading! So when I got back to the book I thought wow this guy has a short attention span. He felt Like he was in a trace I thought that was really strange because I thought it was all most impossible to be in a trance. So when he got down and said he was sorry I thought he was trying to make her stop writing those things. But when he went over to Mr.Ross’s house I knew that he wasn’t David was actually trying to help Laurie! I thought ok Laurie it’s ok I think you can trust him “but by this time I was totally zoned in to the book.”

The Wave. The Sound of Them Crashing! Enjoy

Through chapters 9-12 I have learned some new information, that I am willing to share with you. Read on if you are pleased so far!
Mr.Ross wasn’t very sure of  what he thought of The Wave. It was just a simple experiment, and now it is everywhere. In the result, there was more and more students coming in to Mr.Ross’s class every day! There were even students coming in from other schools.
They were not falling behind in their subject, but in fact they were get them done faster. Ben noticed a improved preparation in class, but he also noticed there was less thinking in preparation. The foot ball team was induced to The Wave and were actually starting to be a team. The Wave was so well prepared that they only needed a half of the class to get the lesson done.
Mr.Ross was trying to understand, what attracted the students to The Wave so much? some say that it is new and interesting, like a fad. Others say they like the democracy of it. All of they students were equal now and there was no more competition of who was the most beautiful. Most of the students thought it was a good idea to increase the discipline.

Laurie was sitting in the publications office, chewing on a pen. Several members of the Gordon Grapevine staff did to. They were all supposed to be in a meeting talking about things that they were doing for the Grapevine, but they were just sitting there doing nothing, like always. Then Laurie got up and said “okay”, we have the same problem as usual. The paper is due out next week but we don’t have enough stories.” She was asking all the staff for the publications office for there stories, but they always had a new excuse. Then a staff member asked Laurie, “why not do a story about The Wave, everybody is talking about it.” Another staff member said, “I thought you were apart of the wave are you or are you not”. A third staff member said “or are you just saving the good stories for your self.” Laurie replied “well we don’t know enough to write about The Wave to write about yet.”

She talked to her mom about the wave and ever since she talk to her mom about The Wave she tried to avoid it ever since. But her mom was really worried about her because she saw Mrs.billings, which is Robert the class nerd’s mother She said Robert was a totally different person. But Mrs.saunders didn’t trust his dramatic change.

This is the very last part of the book.
There was a rally in the gym called The Wave Rally instead of the Prep Rally Laurie did not go because she was afraid of The Wave. So she didn’t go what she did was she went in the publications office to work, but actually she was hiding. But she also broke up with David. (and it was all a big mess.) So her and some other publications office members that were not a part of The Wave disided to expose The Wave for what it really was!

Dear, Mr.Ross
You are a Interesting and smart man. You have created a experiment that is not just a experiment, but it is a experience that I will never forget since I have read the book about this. But if you ever read this I have one question. If you could discipline your self would you. You said you felt so powerful even though you got sucked in to your owen it experiment would you want to be disciplined like this again?

The Wave, Starting Off New!

The next day all of the kids came in slow a tired, others stood some where and talked to each other. Robert Billings is the class creep, all the people that are kind of strange have a tormentor. In his case it is  Brad was Roberts tormentor,  Brad walked by and patted Robbert on the back, while leaving  a sticky note on his back that had just happened to say… Kick me!!! One on the kids happened to notice on the board there was  big letters, “Strength Through Discipline”.
A student said.”what is that supposed to be”. while pointing up to the black board.
Mr.Ross replied “I will tell you as soon as your are seated,” they sat down and Mr.Ross started. “Today I am going to talk to all of you about discipline,” all of the kids started complaining but Mr.Ross said “hold it, it is not what you guys think. When I talk about discipline I mean power.” He continued ” success is through discipline.”
He used people in the class for examples to show the class his point. First he used people on the football team  but it didn’t sink in. Then he used Andrea for example because she was a ballet. she was sitting taller than all the other students.
Mr. Ross said to Andrea “dose it take lots of time and discipline to be a good ballet dancer”
Andrea replied ” yes it dose take a long time and lot’s of discipline to be a good ballet dancer.”
Mr.Ross said “the same with all of the other art’s you people practice.”
After that all of them played this game that they were so interested in they didn’t want to leave. When the bell rang for the next period they were still sitting in their seats. This game they had played was all about discipline even though they did not know it. Mr.Ross would ask them a question and they would stand tall and say Mr.Ross, and say their answer and sit down.

The part that surprised me the most was when they played the game again. I didn’t think Mr.Ross would continue the game because he got so sucked in to the game the day before. The reason I thought he would stop playing the game because the game was like manipulating them. it was like they were hypnotized by discipline that was what the game was all about discipline. They wanted to be discplinedand when they were they felt powerful and strong.

The Wave. The School Project That Went Too Far

This is a novel that I am studying in my class for E.L.A. (english langues arts). The novel has the tittle of, The Wave. The Wave is a novel that is made from a true story. the novel consists of a class room project that go out of control and soon becoming a incident. This incident took place in a high school history class in Palo Alto, California, in the year of 1969. As the class studies World War ll,  the man under the name of Ben Ross was the wan teaching this class it was there history class. Ben Ross’s students can’t understand why, and how the people in the Country of Germany why the people could follow someone so evil like Adolf Hitler and the Nazis! Mr.Ross decides to create a experamental movment, to show his students why people in germany, may have followed the Nazis and the leader of all of this inhuman and horrible man, Hitler.

Laurie Saunders is the editor-in-chief of the school paper. It is called The Grape Vine. She is alone in the publishing office, others were supposed to be there typing away at the other type writers, but they weren’t. There was also supposed to be the art staff at the light tables working. So Laurie sat there alone without any one else.
Soon Laurie met her friend out in the hall way, her name was Amy Smith. They walked in to their history class and they saw their history teacher, who was named Ben Ross. Ben Ross could not work any thing mechanical, he would always ask a boy named David to set up the film projector. David was a young man and he was a football player, he was also Laurie Saunders boy friend. They all sat down and Mr.Ross rolled the film projector. They were watching WW ll films. They saw people that looked like skeletons with skin. The largest part of there legs were their knee sockets. The Germans committed totally inhuman things to other humans. When they were done talking about the film and when they were leaving Amy came up and said, “how can someone do something so inhuman.”
Ben Ross said “I have know idea why someone would do something so terrible.”

My favourite part of chapters 1-4 was when Mr.Ross was sitting at his table with a whole bunch of books on WW ll, and Mrs.Ross the music teacher walked in and saw all of the books on the kitchen table. The reason I like this part is she says “what is it this time the indians again? Astronomy? The behavioural characteristics of killer whales?” He was not listening and he did not answer, so she picked up a book and read out the tittle of it out loud. “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich? Hitlers Youth?” She frowned “what are you doing, cramming for a degree in dictatorship?”
Ben Ross muttered “not funny.”
“you’re right,” Christy admitted!
Ben leaned back in his chair and looked at his wife, Ben said “one of my students asked me a question today that I could not answer.”
“So what else is new?” Christy asked.
“But I don’t think that I ever saw a hand written answer any where!” Ben told her. “It may be an answer that I have to learn  for myself.”

The first four chapters that I read of this were very interesting it made me want to keep reading on. I don’t read a lot of books so I give this book four stars, so far I like this book.

rudy black as night!= The Book Theif

Rudy appeared early in the book. Rudy and Lisle are friends because they were in school to gather. When Lisle and Rudy were not in school they were playing soccer. there was a incident that Rudy made the he thought that Jesse Owens was the best person ever and he wanted to be just like him. He colored him self black with charcoal and he told him self he was going to beat everyone.Jesse Owens was in the summer Olympics of 1936 in Berlin, Germany, he was a American track athlete that specialized in sprints and long  jumps. Jesse Owens was African American and Adolf Hitler was a very racist man and he didn’t Give Jesse Owens his medals.
This is man vs society conflict.

Later. When Rudy was About 12 Lesli and Rudy Joined a group of thief’s and they stole apples potato’s and other things and he was always asking Lesli for  kiss for doing something for her.
When Rudy was in rolled in the Hitler youth there was Franz Deutscher the drill Sargent in the Hitler youth. Rudy kept on getting extra drill’s in the field because he was tired  of Tommy Meeler always getting yelled at by the drill Sargent because of his ear problems.
one day when Tommy Meeler  went with his mother to the grocery store he got lost, and it was the coldest day of the year and Tommy froze his ear and no he has lots of ear problems that have just caused him problems.
Franz Deutscher loved watching  Rudy suffer and when ever Rudy interrupted for Tommy they were given extra laps. Once when Rudy saw Franz on the way home a Rudy said that he was going to take him on. Rudy got bet up and Franz Deutscher gave Rudy a hair cut.
This is man vs man conflict.
